The program is loaded with adverts from local bicycle and other business. Ted Ernst, Jr. was the official starter; he was the main force behind the Manhattan Beach Race for many years. His father, Ted Ernst, Sr. was one of the judges. Additional information included in this Program includes: (1) Bicycle Chronology from 1790 to 1967, (2) Schedule of Events which included races for all ages including tricycles for kiddies & Hi-Riser for youngsters, (3) Bike Fun, (4) Notes on Bike Racing, and (5) a list of 1973 AMATEUR BICYCLE LEAGUE OF AMERICA (ABL of A) Member Bicycle Clubs in the Southern California District. This is a very interesting Race Program. |
