| Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | A 31 page complete catalogue illustrating and describing a wide assortment of bicycle items produced by the company. Motorbike seats are also included. The name of the company had been changed since the 1913 catalogue (The Persons Manufacturing Co changed to Persons-Majestic Mfg. Co.). The factory was located just one hour from Boston, five hours from New York. There is no year written for this catalogue but there is mention that the company`s business took a great bound forward in 1914 & 1915. The condition is very good, the dimensions are 6 x 9 1/4 inches, photo #051-01. See many photos in the photo gallery. A LITTLE HISTORY; This company is of particular interest to Howie because the close personal feeling for the Persons family that developed over many years. Robert `Bob` Persons and his wife Dorthy socialized with Howie`s parents (Leo and RosaBelle Cohen) at the annual BIA Conventions (Bicycle Institute of America) held each year in Boca Raton, FL. West Coast Cycle was one of the distributors for Persons seats, which were quite popular in the 1950`s - 1960`s. Charlie Persons, their son, took over management of the company in the later years; Charlie and Howie have had an ongoing relationship since that time. |
