The editor in chief is Yasuuki `GreenG` Takeo. This image is the front cover; photo by Yuta Yoshida (who took several of the photos in this issue) of trick rider Daisuke Maja doing a Tuck No Hander. The location is The Uramonzen Park in Nagoya, Japan. (Nagoya is one of my two favorite cities in Japan where I spent many months in the 1960s & 1970s while having bicycles & components produced for my company). I am grateful to Patrick at Flatland Fuel for sending me this issue. This issue contains 76 pages including the covers. The dimensions are 8 1/4 x 11 5/8 inches, see the picture gallery. |

Pages 24 & 25, Smile For Future; a wonderful project carried out by Yohei 'Ucchi' Uchino & Kotaro Tanaka to assist the people of the Tohoku region who suffered so much due to the Earthquake. Their activities included volunteer work to support the community and the performance of BMX shows to entertain the people. Their project was sponsored by PUMA, RED BULL, MURASAKI SPORTS, DC, MSPC, CASIO, JYKK JAPAN AND ARES BYKES (my old friend Sera Katsu). Look at the smiles on the faces of the many people in these photos. Kudos to Ucchi & Kotaro. |

Page-61, YUKI's EUROPE TRIP, text & photos by Yuki Ogawa. This is a must read story by a young woman who is a bike messenger on a fixe bike. Her cycling trek through a large part of Europe is an adventure you can relive with her through her journalism & pictures. I think the picture on this page is of Yuki and a new found friend, Frank. Yuki developed a life philosophy on this bicycle trip; AS LONG AS YOU DON'T GIVE UP, YOU CAN PEDAL FOREVER. AS LONG AS YOU ARE ALIVE, NO THOUGHTS NEED BE PESSIMISTIC. YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT. MY POINT OF VIEW AND HOW I FEEL HAVE CHANGED SINCE THE TRIP. . . . Yuki Ogawa. |
