Ranger brand bicycles were originally sold by The Mead Cycle Co of Chicago, IL. In the 1970`s Standard Cycle Co of Chicago was selling Ranger brand bicycles; it appears that Art Lipski acquired the Ranger name. This image is from the 1911 Mead Cycle Co catalog; it`s page-16 illustrating the Ranger Roadster priced at $50.00 retail. Additional text & pictures pending. See the picture gallery. Lipski sold Standard Cycle Co to Bob Fluhr, who operated the company for a few additional years.
