 | | Since Howie Cohen's passing, no items are for sale. | The Schwinn Reporter publication was produced monthly by Arnold, Schwinn & Co starting in the early 1950`s. It was the Schwinn House Organ, full of information about the Company, its products, its Franchised & Authorized Dealers and the bicycle industry. The Reporter was written specifically for Schwinn Dealers and was mailed to them each month. Whether it`s Cruisers, Krates, Sting Rays, Paramounts or Collegiates, you can see the evolution of the Schwinn bicycle line and the company by simply reviewing the pages. Each Schwinn Reporter is an extremely valuable piece of reference material.
The Schwinn`sters written about in this issue include: Erwin `Erv` Marquardt sadly passes on, Bill Beeskow, Robert Koch, E.J. Robinson of Times Bike Shop in Bellingham, WA, Lyle Ragan of Harry`s Cycle & Hobby of Vancouver, WA and others. The articles in this issue include: (1) Biggest Bike Year in History Forecasted for 1956, (2) Schwinn Approved Coaster Brake, (3) Inside the Schwinn Factory photos and story, (4) Unicycle Event in Bellingham, WA, and (5) article & photos of Harry`s Cycle & Hobby in Vancouver, WA. There are many more articles and people to be named in this issue; when time permits I will come back to it and embellish this posting.
