1895 07-25 Wheel Talk Vol-I #14 published by Morgan & Wright Tire Co. of Chicago
"Wheel Talk" was published by Morgan & Wright of Chicago, a tire company established in 1882. The booklet was slanted toward the retailers and repairmen in the bicycle industry but could also be enjoyed by consumers in the bicycling community. The front page has several thoughtful 'catch phrases' of the times. This issue contains pages 105-112, the condition is fair-good, the dimensions are 6 1/2 x 8 3/8 inches. [WheelTalk-011]

1952 July, the interior of Playrite Bicycle Supply on 6th St. in L.A.

There is a Whizzer Sportsman parked near the front door. Notice the huge quantity of frames stacked above the front windows (they are a story in themselves; ask Howie if you are interested).

c.1940`s early, Wheel Goods Co. on Hennipin Ave in Mpls, MN (side-front view) 

This business was founded by Manny Giffis, Leo Cohen Sr`s. brother-in-law. Leo bought into the business in the early 1940`s. Manny (Howie`s uncle) and Leo Sr. (Howie`s dad) grew the business together until Leo sold back his interest and moved our family to Los Angeles, CA where he purchased a Bike Shop at 168 N. La Brea from Bob Solomon.

CO, Boulder-The FIX Bike Shop
Currently in business in 2009. I met Alex Clark at the cyclo-cross race event at the Valmont Bike Park on October 17, 2009. He was nice enough to have a great assortment of refreshments that were available to the racers and the spectators who were there attending the event. Skirt Lifter/Holder-Adjustable Buckle Type
The printing on the display card is; The Adjustable Buckle Holds waist, ribbon and skirt in place. Once worn, always worn. The manufacturer was LESLIE in Springfield, ILL. The safety pin is clamped onto a steel  (tin) bracket which is attached to the decor piece. The dimensions of the decor piece are 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches.
