1898, June 3rd, Vol-XXVII, #22 "The L.A.W. Bulletin & Good Roads" a weekly publication
Circulation of this issue: 963.396 copies. This is published on Fridays by the League of American Wheelmen, Sterling Elliott, Managing editor, located at 12 Pearl St., Boston, Mass. See the January 1893 issue (item #L.A.W.-16 in this collection) which had the same address overprinted on the front cover. There were branch offices in New York, Chicago and Detroit. Associate Editors were; Nixon Waterman, Luther H. Porter and Joe Lincoln. An illustrated weekly magazine devoted to the improvement of the public roads and streets, containing stories from bicyclists about their rides and love of bicycling, bicycle racing as well as stories and illustrations about the need and development of better roads across the United States. This is a very valuable reference material, it is full of advertisements from bike mfgr's, parts/sundry mfgr's and bicycle retailers; some of the companies advertising are not well known to historians and collectors. There are many illustrations that can be photocopied. The number of pages will vary with each different issue. The condition is good. The dimensions are 7 7/8 x 10 5/8 inches (larger than all previous issues). [L.A.W. -040]

Old Car and Uniformed Bicyclist
The uniformed bicyclist is riding almost adjacent to the old car (appears to be right-side steering). The background shows a tall ladder next to a tall tree and two flags flying high in the tree. The dimensions of the photo are 14 5/8 x 12 inches. The paper is quite thick but not what I would classify as chipboard. [Old Car and Bike]
