1939 August, CYCLE JOBBERS ASSOC OF AMERICA, Advertisement in American Bicyclist Magazine
This is not a catalog, but rather an advertisement for the period. See the almost complete issue of this August 1939 American Bicyclist & Motorcyclist magazine in the category `Magazines/Periodicals-Contemporary, American Bicyclist & Motorcyclist` within this collection. This advertisement and other interesting ads of the period appear in this publication. The Cycle Jobbers Association of America was for jobbers (distributors) and evolved into the BWDA (Bicycle Wholesale Distributors Association) which was a segment of the BIA (Bicycle Institute of America). The BIA disbanded and the Distributors formed a new association. [CatAntqDist-c86.h]

Bicycle Motocross Action Magazine held a drawing contest in the 1980/1981 period. Dozens of drawings were sent to the magazine. Some of this really terrific art is listed here for your enjoyment. Keep in mind that the artists ranged in age from about 11 to 19 years old. The contact information for the artists has been blocked out for obvious reasons. If any of the artists would like their contact information to be included just contact me and I will have it arranged. Congratulations to all of you artists for your ingenuity and talent!
