Bicycle Motocross Action Magazine held a drawing contest in the 1980/1981 period. Dozens of drawings were sent to the magazine. Some of this really terrific art is listed here for your enjoyment. Keep in mind that the artists ranged in age from about 11 to 19 years old. The contact information for the artists has been blocked out for obvious reasons. If any of the artists would like their contact information to be included just contact me and I will have it arranged. Congratulations to all of you artists for your ingenuity and talent! The cute whimsical scene is of a girl on a high wheel and a boy on a juvenile bike. The text is, `Let`s Cycling` at the top, and `Joanna and Bob like cycling` at the bottom. The dimensions are 7 1/4 inch high x 3 1/2 inch diameter. There are two in the collection; one is still in the original wrapping. [Bank-004]
WW-II, Model on a 1943 BSA Folding Paratrooper Bike
The image of this attractive model straddling the WW-II bicycle (a 1943 Folding British BSA Paratrooper bike, all original with war grade tires) was sent to me by fellow collector Jim who said: I`ve enclosed a couple more pics of gals on my bikes properly accessorized for our charity pinup calendar that benefits wounded veterans. The calendar with this bike pin-up picture is planned for 2013. In the meanwhile if you are interested in purchasing an 8x10 (@ $10.00) or 20x24 (@ $60.00) inch print of this picture, contact Jim by clicking here classicpinup.com@gmail.com. [ArtNudeMisc.C-124c]
