045 A very attractive silver finish buckle with a Hobby Horse Velocipede (also referred to as Draisine, Swift Walker, Dandy Horse and/or Pedestrian Curricle). The JCA letters between the wheels is for the Japan Cycle Association, who gave me this buckle via Junzo Kawai of SunTour. The text on the back is, `Diamond Pat.P. 7461. The dimensions are 2 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches. The same design buckle but in a gold color finish is in the collection as #046. This item is no longer in my collection. [BeltBuckle-045]

The Cyclists` Touring Club of England was an early and strong movement to promote the use of bicycles and improve bicycling conditions in England (somewhat similar to the L.A.W. in the USA). There is a great deal of memorabilia about the CTC in this collection, spread around in various specific categories. This membership card and the attached token are printed on both sides, see the picture gallery. The dimensions of the card are 4 1/16 x 2 1/8 inches, the token is 1 1/8 inches in diameter.
