An itinerary for cyclists and motorists, containing in simple indexed form, the roads with milage and description of surface and contour. Compiled by T.A. Edge and published by Walker Scott, Ltd. of London. `Clincher` was a trade name of tires for bicycles and automobiles, owned by The North British Rubber Co., Ltd. of Edinburgh, Scotland, who apparently underwrote all or part of the expense of this book by their advertisements appearing throughout the book. There are two important documents included with this book, (1) a review by Dr. Roland C. Geist, author of 'Bicycling as a Hobby', secretary of the College Cycle Club, Ex-Captain of the Century road Club association, member of the USA 1920 Olympic Cycling Committee, Cycle Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America, member of the Amateur Bicycle League of America (ABLofA), Chief Consul of Cyclist Touring Club, St. Louis Cycling Club and the Cambridge Bicycle Club, and (2) a letter (news release) from the Bicycle Institute of America (BIA) announcing the publication and release of the book. the introduction was writen by Dr. Nathan E.
