COLLECTING AND RESTORING ANTIQUE BICYCLES by G. Donald Adams with photos and information from Carl Burgwardt of NY
This is one of the most important books for a bicycle collector to own. It's 369 pages are full of valuable accurate information and illustrations. I bought a few copies from Carl Burgwardt, co-owner (with his wife Clary) of the PEDALING HISTORY BICYCLE MUSEUM of Orchard Park, NY (near Buffalo). Carl is one of the world's most knowledgable historians of the bicycle; the museum that he and Clary have built is filled with a huge and attractive display of bicycles and bicycle memorabilia that they have amassed over many years. This museum is a 'must see' for bike collectors and tour groups when they are in the east coast area. More information about the Burgwardt Museum can be obtained at www.pedalinghistory.com. Interested parties can obtain a copy of this book (available hard-cover or soft-cover) directly from Carl at his email address: info@pedalinghistory.com [BookContemp-C577]
A 145 page soft cover book (bicycle test reports) with information about many of the 1972 & 1973 model bicycles sold in the USA. Bicycle Polo (photos, rules, information, etc.) is covered on pages 142-144. The dimensions are 8 3/8 x 10 7/8 inches, the condition is good. This is the same as item #BookContemp-C593E except the covers are in reverse colors. [BookContemp-C593D]
