c.1932 Colson FLYER girls coaster brake Model B-428. This model was available in two frame sizes. The smaller frame size (19 inch) was equipped with 26-inch tires, the larger frame size (20 inch) was equipped with 28-inch tires). Two color schemes were offered; wine (burgundy) with white head or green with white head. The handlebar had a cross brace. [ColsonFLYERc.1932g]
We are trying to determine the correct model year for this fat tire coaster brake tandem (we think 1939-1942) with interconnected steering (steering can be controlled by either the captain or stoker). The fenders appear to be replacements as do the grips and pedals and the seats need some attention. The expander bolt on the front stem is missing and the paint is rough but this tandem could be restored to a beautiful ridable gem. The curves of the frame tubing are graceful and attractive. See the picture gallery. This tandem has been sold. [ColsonTndm c.1941]
