The 3 of us have finished lunch and were returning to the meeting when Bill Quinn (The Bicycle Journal) caught us with his ever present camera. (L to R) Irwin `Irv` Hayutin-owner of Pettee Cycle of Denver, CO and a great guy, Leo J. Cyclo Gear Co., Ltd. maker of Benelux Dérailleurs (see the picture gallery)
Cyclo-Benelux produced a line of dérailleurs, freewheels and various unique parts & accessories for bicycles. Benelux dérailleurs were predominant on British produced bicycles until the early 1960`s at which time Huret, Simplex and Campagnolo took the market share away from them. Soon after, SunTour & Shimano also earned market share. This picture is of a hang tag that was supplied in the box with the Benelux Super-60 rear dérailleur. See the picture gallery. [Cyclo-Benelux]
