Cycles Mercier of Saint Etienne France was a reasonable size bike factory, but not one of the giants like Motobecane or Pequot. Edmond Mercier took over management of the factory from his father in the 1970`s at which time we were purchasing their bicycles. Irwin Hayutin (from Pettee Cycle) & I visited the factory several times. [Mercier Cycles]
Hampsten Cycles is managed by Steve Hampsten, Andy Hampsten`s brother. The company displayed at the 2013 NAHBS at which time both Steve & Andy were present. The bicycles are produced by Cicli Cinghiale in Italy they are really beautiful! [Hampsten Cycles]
