| The WHO’s WHO IN THE BICYCLE INDUSTRY category is so large that I divided it into eight sub-categories to make it easier to do research and find the information you are seeking:
• Collectors and/or Historians of Bicycles • Exporters • Media (Publications, Publishers, Advocacy, Trade Shows, Etc.) • Manufacturers of Bicycles, Tricycles and/or Wheel Goods • Manufacturers of Components, Parts/Accessories & Sundries • Racers/Competitors, Venues & Cycling Teams/Clubs • Retailers of Bicycles & Employees • Wholesale Distributors (Jobbers) & Employees
The WHO’s WHO category encompasses both individuals and companies in the industry. The individuals are listed in alphabetical order by last names; the companies are listed in alphabetical order by company name.
To find information about a specific person or specific company you can also use the SEARCH feature located on the home page of this website in the upper right corner; type the name you are researching in the Word Search box, and then click on Search.
There are thousands of individuals & companies who have contributed to the richness of the bicycle industry and enhanced the pleasure of the bicycling community; therefore this category will continue to be a work in progress as time permits and the entities come to my mind or in some cases as you, the viewers of this website, send me pictures and/or information about individuals or companies about whom you are familiar. Your contributions are valuable and appreciated. This will be a valuable piece of history about the Bicycle Industry and live in perpetuum. [A04Note from Howie]

006 Dia-Compe - White on Black |
|---|
An embroidered patch; the dimensions are 4 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches. White logo on a black background. A little history; Howie has had a close relationship with the Yoshigai family since 1964 when WCCSC used Dia-Compe brakes almost exclusively on all Japanese bicycles. Dia-Compe was the first high quality brake manufacturer in Japan. Kiyokasu Yoshigai and Mr. Narita are credited with establishing high quality components and business ethics. The company expanded in later years and included other cold forged products including handlebar stems & other bicycle components. [Patch DC-009.c]

WW-II, Model on a 1943 BSA Folding Paratrooper Bike |
|---|
The image of this attractive model straddling the WW-II bicycle (a 1943 Folding British BSA Paratrooper bike, all original with war grade tires) was sent to me by fellow collector Jim who said: I`ve enclosed a couple more pics of gals on my bikes properly accessorized for our charity pinup calendar that benefits wounded veterans. The calendar with this bike pin-up picture is planned for 2013. In the meanwhile if you are interested in purchasing an 8x10 (@ $10.00) or 20x24 (@ $60.00) inch print of this picture, contact Jim by clicking here classicpinup.com@gmail.com. [ArtNudeMisc.C-124b]
