This is an advertising sign rather than a poster. However because of the content I decided to list it here with posters. The image is of an American Service Man in uniform, enjoying a refreshing Coke together with an attractive lady (presumably his spouse or girlfriend). They are posing with a matching pair of American made lightweight bicycles. The sign mentions that Cokes are on sale at subway newsstands so I assume this sign was made for the east coast market. AVAILABLE TO SELL, A REPRODUCTION OF THIS ATTRACTIVE POSTER! This poster advertises a bicycle race held during the WW-II. The dates of the race were September 5-12, 1943. The name of the event was The Vuelta Ciclista a Cataluna III and the main sponsor was Pirelli Tires. The dimensions are 12 x 16 inches. [Poster-C.071]
