1976 Eddy Merckx and Tullio Campagnolo, Merckx Wins the Milano-Sanremo Race for the 7th time

This original 1976 commemorative large poster was signed in person (autographed) by Eddy Merckx on the occasion when he visited the Montrose Bike Shop in Montrose, California. You can see his signature in the center of his jersey under the Campagnolo logo. This was not a posed photograph; Mr. Tullio Campagnolo is spontaneously and exuberantly congratulating Eddy Merckx after the finish of the race. This was the 7th time Merckx claimed the win at the Milano-Sanremo Classic. The dimensions of the reproduction are a large 19 1/2 x 27 1/4 inches. [Poster-M.120-f]
No. 056 `FIRST MILE A MINUTE MAN` c.1934 (Original, not a reprint)
The picture on this c.1934 large size poster is of Charles N. Murphy (aka Mile-A-Minute Murphy). New Departure distributed posters to retail bicycle stores for point of purchase advertising. There were several different designs in this series. New Departure Coaster Brakes were invented by Harry Townsend & the Rockwell brothers (Albert & Edward) while they were employed by the New Departure Manufacturing Company. The dimensions are 16 x 23 5/8 inches. The condition of this poster is poor with some tears and missing pieces as can be seen in the photo. [Poster-N.300-056]
