No. 064 A MODERN COVERED WAGONc.1920`s~1930`s (Original, not a reprint)
This poster illustrates Albertus R. Gray, at Tallahassee, Florida, being interviewed by `Endee` Ellis, of the New Departure Sales Staff, after covering 1800 miles from his home in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is headed for Gastell, Texas, and then home. He is pulling a trailer behind his bike (I`ll bet he would have liked one of the Kool-Stop trailers, but they were not yet available at the time). New Departure distributed posters to retail bicycle stores for point of purchase advertising. There were several different designs in this series. New Departure Coaster Brakes were invented by Harry Townsend & the Rockwell brothers (Albert & Edward) while they were employed by the New Departure Manufacturing Company. The dimensions are 16 x 25 inches. From the New Departure Press. [Poster-N.300-064]
