This is a brand new #6.75 envelope for use to mail letters or documents smaller than the standard #10 size or normal 8 1/2x11 documents folded to fit the smaller size envelope. There is an image of a gent & lady with Safety Bicycles in the upper left corner with the business return address of Safety Medicine Products of La Crosse, WI., a company founded and owned by Joe Craighead`s maternal great grandfather (Mr. H.L. Partridge). Joe Craighead of Denver, CO., who gifted the envelope to me in November 2011 is a very kind, intelligent and interesting gentleman; he and his wife, Kelly, visited with Kay & me at which time he also gifted me with some vintage spokes from Torrington-USA, Lement from Holland, and Giuseppe & Redaelli from Italy).
Joe mentioned that his great grandfather decided to use the Safety bicycle as part of his logo because the Safety was just coming into fashion at the time and he supposed that people would identify Safety Bicycles with Safety Medicine. New Envelopes from 1980-available for use with 15 Cents Postage applied (available to sell) |

AVAILABLE TO SELL, I HAVE MANY! These are brand new #10 envelopes for use to mail any letters or documents; they were issued by the US Postal Service in 1980. There is already 15-cents postage so you only need to add the difference between the current postage and the 15-cents. I recently purchased a large quantity so they are available to sell in lots of 20 (20-envelopes cost $10.00). There is an image of a high wheel bike in the upper right corner and a racing bike in the lower left corner. I use these for all correspondence to bicycle people. The dimensions are 9 1/2 x 4 1/8 inches. [USA-Cov 1980 u597]
